Freepathshala is dedicated to providing basic education to construction worker children in India. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and grow, regardless of their socioeconomic background. By focusing on education, we aim to break the cycle of poverty and empower these children to build a better future for themselves and their communities. Through our holistic approach, we strive to create a brighter future for them and contribute to bring a change in social fabric.
There are around 54 million children of construction workers in india. We started in May 2015 with One centre and 28 kids and today we have 7 centres with approximate 430 kids studying in those centres with 14 teachers, One Principal and three support staff. So far we have been able to get around 200 kids admitted to govt or private schools
FreePathshala’s self-reliant model transforms waste into valuable resources, creating positive environmental and social impact while supporting education and livelihoods.
Through the “Raddi Se Tarakki” program, we collect and sell recyclable waste like paper, plastic, and metal. This reduces landfill pollution and generates funds for children’s education.
We partner with local waste-pickers, enabling them to earn fair wages and strengthening the local economy— building a more inclusive society.
Under “Sammaan Ka Saaman,” donated clothes, shoes, and utensils are cleaned and redistributed respectfully, cutting textile and household waste and promoting sustainable consumption.
Helping parents find local employment reduces migration and keeps children in school, fostering community stability.
Our model drives self-reliance by combining financial sustainability, community empowerment, and environmental stewardship.
At FreePathshala, we believe that change happens when communities come together. Whether you have time, skills, or resources—you can play a vital role in supporting the education and holistic growth of children of construction workers in Gurgaon.
